TRIM: packaging design of paints, dry mixes, finishing materials
To create the design for a new brand of paints which will demonstrate the functionality of the product and become common to the entire range of paints, dry mixes and other finishing materials. The company was in need of a fresh and modern solution that would help it join largest repairs and renovations retail chains, where the “face control” of packaging designs is tough.
The idea was based on designing such a package that when picking up a can of paint, a consumer would immediately understand what surface the paint should be used for.
Laconic pictograms chosen for the packages and the image of the house that is common for the entire range ensure recognition and integrity of products. The main color is white. Soft lines of pictograms and no overloading graphic elements define the generally light perception of the product. The result satisfied the customer to such extend that the original task of creating designs for paints only grew to redesigning the entire line.
